Design That Works is devoted to the belief that all commercial and residential environments should be accessible, healthy and usable for everybody, regardless of age or ability.
Design That Works was created by Evelyn Grodan, a design professional with over 30 years of experience in business, design and construction. As well as being an expert in the field of Universal, Accessible and Green Design, Evelyn is CAPS certified as an Aging in Place consultant and has certification as an Independent Living Specialist.
For 28 years, Evelyn was a dedicated caregiver to her physically and developmentally disabled daughter, Elise, and understands the daily financial and emotional challenges faced by families that care for a loved one with a disability.
Evelyn has seen first-hand, both as a caregiver and a professional consultant, the positive impact that properly designed environments have on people with physical challenges and their family members.
Design That Works believes that every improvement in the physical environment is an improvement in the lifestyle of a loved one.
